How it all started...
In the middle of the Great Depression in 1932, Mr. and Mrs. George Ferree, Mr. LL Wilkinson, and Mrs. Coy McCraney met in the Ferree's home to pray about organizing a Baptist Church in the Francis community. They had no building in which to meet, so that house served as first place where Francis Baptist Church met.
Fittingly, it all started with a group of people who met to fellowship and draw closer to God. That remains one of our guiding principles today.

Where We Are...
Today, Francis is a strong body of believers with members from all over Putnam County. With a large property consisting of 4 main buildings, we are poised to continue to reach our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are truly striving to be a FAMILY Church where all ages are welcomed and engaged to be growing as followers of Christ.
